Police can be anywhere, anytime
Victoria Police are out day and night, keeping our roads safe and stopping people from doing the wrong thing.
Whether it's a back road, a main road or a highway there are officers undertaking road safety operations, all day, every day. So just because you can't see the police, it doesn't mean the police can't see you.
If you choose to take risks and break the road rules, chances are, you will be caught.
In 2023 Victoria recorded 295 lives lost on the roads, the highest number in 15 years. It's important for the TAC to continue the Road Safety conversation, to talk to Victorian drivers about about shared responsibility and to urge all Victorian's to make safer choices.
The new Enforcement campaign plays a vital role in educating the community about penalties and consequences and to deter drivers from engaging in unsafe behaviours. Police enforcement on our roads makes sure all road users remain vigilant and keeps everyone safe.
The campaign combines with police presence, enhanced enforcement activity and local government road safety messages. The message to Victorian drivers is to drive safely, observe speed limits, separate drinking from driving, avoid mobile phone use while driving and remember to buckle up.
We want Victorian drivers to know, if they do break the law, chances are they will be caught. Anywhere, anytime. Anyone.
