A compensation order was made in the sum of $21,069.88 ($21,519.88 less the $450 paid to date), and costs in the sum of $1,125.

Remarks:

The Magistrate noted that the accused’s offending was serious, and that it involved defrauding a government agency established to support injured Victorians.  The accused had commenced repayment of the fraudulently obtained benefits, and had to date paid by $450.
