Expressions of Interest sought for TAC Sponsorship

Organisations interested in partnering with the TAC are encouraged to apply for a TAC sponsorship via a new online system, with expressions of interest opening today.

The TAC’s sponsorships are an effective pathway to reach the Victorian community and the new online system will provide a more streamlined process for interested organisations.

Sponsorships offer two-way connection and engagement with our target audiences – whether it’s in entertainment, sport, the arts, or social and cultural events – and this complements our major advertising campaigns seen in traditional media.

With 295 lives lost on our roads last year and a further 157 road deaths to date in 2024, road trauma remains a significant issue in our community and we need to ensure we are doing everything we can to reach all corners of Victoria with road safety messages.

There are three types of sponsorships that can be applied for, each with their own assessment criteria:

  1. Commercial sponsorships - road safety behaviours: provide a tangible link with the community, reaching target audiences with messages that prioritise areas identified in the Victorian Road Safety Action Plan and complement the TAC's public awareness campaigns.
  2. Commercial sponsorships – supporting TAC clients and others affected by toad trauma: enhance outcomes for TAC clients and people affected by road trauma.
  3. Geelong Region Sponsorships – empower groups and organisations to be leaders and ambassadors for road safety within the Geelong region with their respective audience and networks.

The new application process will be conducted annually, or on an as-needs basis, for all sponsorship categories.

Applications will need to address the TAC’s criteria, and will be reviewed by a panel of sponsorship, marketing and road safety specialists.
