When it comes to road safety, we’re all on the same team.
Taking place on Friday 19 - 21st July, Road Safety Round will see football and netball players across Victoria band together for road safety.
This year’s Road Safety Round will spotlight speeding, which is a major contributor to trauma on Victorian roads. Players will take to the field and the courts wearing blue armbands to honor lives lost on the road, and serve as a reminder that we all have a responsibility to play our role.
Community members around Victoria will also be running ‘late-laps’ at local grounds around the state, and banking them for future. The initiative sends a message that there is no need to speed to get to training on time. To play your role, collect an armband from your local football and netball club, and start running.
Show up for your team. Slow down on the road.
#tacbandtogether
Everyone has a reason for wanting safer roads. Band together with the community by recording your story and sharing it on your socials using #tacbandtogether or by running ‘late-laps’ for your community.
Let’s band together for safer roads and look out for one another on and off the field.
