Fire safety awareness training is mandatory for disability service providers.
When a disability service provider registers with the TAC they must sign a declaration to prove they have provided training for:
- New disability service workers as part of their induction
- Existing disability service workers every two years to maintain their fire safety skills.
The TAC, along with the Melbourne fire Brigade and the Department of Health and Human Services has developed basic fire safety training materials and information you can use.
You can download these free training materials on the AFAC website.
