Active Recovery Clinics
The TAC has partnered with Navigator Group, a leading injury management specialist, to give eligible TAC clients access to Navigator Group’s Active Recovery Clinics program.
This exercise-based rehabilitation program delivers 12 weeks of support from an interdisciplinary team. This includes sports medicine physicians, exercise physiologists, physiotherapists, psychologists and counsellors.
The Active Recovery Clinics exercise-based rehabilitation program is specifically designed for people who have experienced a motor vehicle accident or workplace injury. It uses advanced technology and innovative techniques to:
- give patients the tools to take control of their injury
- get their physical and mental wellbeing back on track
- return to everyday life sooner than expected.
Navigator Group contacts eligible TAC clients to introduce the program in the weeks following the acceptance of their TAC claim. Our clients have no obligation to participate in the program, and their eligibility for TAC supports and services will not be impacted.
By supporting eligible clients to access the Active Recovery Clinics program, we plan to test the effectiveness of connecting clients to an integrated rehabilitation program earlier in their recovery. This can reduce the stress and uncertainty associated with a transport accident injury and help clients achieve the outcomes that matter most to them.
The Active Recovery Clinics program is one example of our application of value-based healthcare principles. This approach is designed to improve the outcomes and experiences of our clients and deliver better value for our stakeholders. Visit our value-based healthcare page to learn more.
